The Sci-Fi/Anime Club is BACK and looking for members! Whether you’re a Trekkie or a Jedi; Hokage or a Super Saiyan, we want you! Join other fans of these fun genres for games, videos, character discussions and more. We’ll be meeting in the Library Media Center the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month so mark your calendar for September 14th, 2:45 – 3:30 P.M. Mrs. Esola will provide snacks.
BOOK DISCUSSION
Are you looking for adventure in your life? Maybe you’d like to solve a mystery or delve into the dark side of human nature. Do you need to laugh a little more in your day? Then you want to join Book Discussion and see the wonderful worlds reading opens up to you! Book Discussion will hold its first meetings THIS FRIDAY during E and F lunch periods. Bring you lunch to the Library Media Center Reading Loft, Frosh/Soph during E period, Junior/Senior during F Period. We’ll vote for our first book and enjoy delicious dessert made by Mrs. Esola. All new members are welcome! See you Friday during lunch.
AUDITIONS AND TECHNICAL INTERVIEWS
The Theatre Department will be holding auditions TODAY for actors and technical interviews for crew in the Atrium and Theatre at 3:00 P.M. You will sign up for a 5-10 minute audition or interview slot. No experience or preparation is necessary. The Fall Play will be written and created by the cast and crew, and it will be based on Irish Mythology. The Winter Play is a two-person play about best friends who are reliving their memories of childhood after one of them has died. There will be plenty of opportunities for each show, so come on out and bring a friend! If you have questions, contact Mr. Arndt in Room 201.
WEDNESDAY MISSION COLLECTION
Tomorrow we will be collecting money for Ruck 22 in our A period classes. This organization helps raise awareness of veterans and their needs when they return home from their service to our nation. Thank you for your generosity.
RUCK 22 IN SCHOOL AND WALK TO TRITON PARTICIPATION
Shamrocks who want to help our veterans by participating in either the in-school Ruck 22 backpack activity or the September 10th walk to Triton are asked to register for these activities through the link that was provided in the Sunday email. If you have any questions please see senior Branden Kumiega, Ms. Wood, or Mr. Perez.
HOMECOMING DANCE
This year’s Homecoming Dance is on Saturday, September 11 from 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. and will be held outside in the Austin Parking Lot (weather permitting). Tickets are $20.00 (individual) and $40.00 (couples). Pre-registration is required. Registration will open this week. Check your email for pre-registration.
