The Saint Patrick golf team has advanced to the St. Rita Sectional.
The Shamrocks earned the right to move on by taking third place at the Nazareth Academy Regional on Oct. 4. St. Pat’s shot a 341 as a team, finishing 20 strokes behind the regional champions, St. Ignatius.
Junior James Leane shot an 82 and earned a medal for his fourth-place finish. Sophomore Mike Donovan shot an 84 and took sixth place overall. Senior Alex Occhinio shot an 85, and seniors Nick Dattalo and Luke Labuz each recorded 90s.
The Shamrocks will be back on the course on Monday, Oct. 10, when they play in the St. Rita Sectional at Glenwoodie Country Club in Glenwood.
