The Cross Country team opened their season Wednesday, August 30 hosting 25 schools and nearly 800 runners at Schiller Woods.
Senior Captains Peter Sakkos and Brian Kieca led the way for the Varsity team with 6 of the 7 runners achieving personal bests at the Shamrock Invitational.
It was the young and upcoming Freshman/Sophomore squad that outperformed the competition finishing 3rd. The team was led by freshman Sergio Mendieta who took 3rd place out of 128 runners and fellow freshman Aiden Lewis who also finished in the top 20.
Saint Patrick is back in action this Saturday, September 2 at Lewis University.
