After upsetting #1 seeded New Trier last Tuesday in the Sectional Semifinal, the #4 Shamrocks came up with another big win on Saturday defeating three-time defending Sectional Champion #3 Evanston in the Sectional Final. This is the first IHSA 3A Sectional Championship for Saint Patrick, and second in two years, after winning in 2A last season.
The Shamrocks will face Libertyville, currently ranked #2 nationally in the MaxPreps Top 25, in the Super-Sectional for a chance to advance to the State Final Tournament for the second consecutive year on Tuesday at 6:00 pm. The game will be played at Barrington High School (616 W. Main Street, Barrington).
