Two Saint Patrick runners competed in the cross country state meet on Saturday, Nov. 5.
Jesse Resendez finished 92nd with a time of 16 minutes, 2 seconds, while fellow senior Ryan Zimny-Schmitt took 125th with a time of 16:23.
Both Shamrocks runners improved upon their sectional times from the weekend prior, as Resendez and Zimny-Schmitt each shaved 50 seconds off of their sectional time.
The three-mile race was held at Detweiler Park in Peoria. It was the second state meet appearance for Resendez, and the first for Zimny-Schmitt.
