Saint Patrick High School is pleased to announce that Joseph Cermak ’04 has been selected as an inductee into the East Suburban Catholic Conference (ESCC) Hall of Fame. Cermak, the first golfer to be inducted into the Shamrock Hall of Fame in 2007, is the oldest of four brothers (Matthew ’06, Michael ’08 and Patrick ’11) to attend Saint Patrick..

Cermak’s accomplishments over his four years at Saint Patrick include: four-time ESCC All-Conference pick, three-time state qualifier (finishing second in 2001 and 2003 and fifth in 2002), two-time Regional Champion, Sectional Champion and All-American in 2002-2003. In addition, Cermak was the Saint Patrick Athlete of the Year in 2004.

Upon graduation from Saint Patrick, Cermak attended Iowa State University on a golf scholarship. During his collegiate career, he was a 2006 US Amateur participant, 2007 low amateur/runner up at the Illinois Open, two-time qualifier at the Radix Cup and 2008 Joliet Amateur Champion.

The Class of 2018 Hall of Fame Induction Dinner will be held on Thursday, April 12 at the Abbington Banquet Hall located at 3 S. 002 Route 53 in Glen Ellyn. Doors open at 6 pm. Dinner is at 7 pm.
