On Saturday, varsity played at the Dunes Club, located at the southeastern shore of Lake Michigan and dubbed, “the best nine-hole course anywhere.” Although the Shamrocks lost to Marian Central (2.5-5.5), Coach Pete Doughtery said, “It was a beautiful day on an outstanding golf course with the most courteous of hosts and,” he added, “as usual Shamrock golfers continue to demonstrate gentlemanly behavior and sportsmanship both on and off the course.”
