The Saint Patrick golf team had a pair of medal winners at the East Suburban Catholic Conference meet on Thursday, Sept. 29.
Junior James Leane led the way for the Shamrocks, taking fifth place with a score of 78. Senior Luke Labuz wasn’t far behind, finishing in eighth place with an 80.
St. Pat’s finished in fifth place overall at the ESCC meet, recording a team score of 335. Seniors Alex Occhino (88) and Leo Erickson (89) also contributed to the team effort.
The ESCC meet, which was played at Pine Meadows Golf Club in Mundelein, marked the end of regular season play for the Shamrocks. The team will now begin to prepare for postseason play, which begins Tuesday, Oct. 4, at the Nazareth Academy Regional.
