Saint Patrick High School Athletic Director Brian Glorioso is now a member of the East Suburban Catholic Conference Hall of Fame.
Glorioso has been part of the St. Pat’s family for more than 40 years. He joined the Shamrocks as a physical education teacher and water polo coach in 1977 and was promoted to athletic director in 1993.
Throughout his tenure, Glorioso has been named the Illinois Athletic Director of the Year (2008-09), the Illinois Water Polo Coach of the Year (1981) and the St. Pat’s Educator of the Year (2001).
Glorioso called it “a great honor” to be inducted into the ESCC Hall of Fame and said he wouldn’t be there without the hard work and dedication of his staff.
“This is as much my hall of fame entry as it is all of the coaches that have worked for nothing but the best for our student-athletes,” he said,
Glorioso received his bachelor’s degree from Northeastern Illinois University and later earned his master’s degree from Northern Illinois University.
Under Glorioso’s guidance, 10 Shamrock athletes have won individual state championships or runner-up honors. His tenure has also included a state championship in water polo in 1997, and second-place finishes in baseball (2006) and water polo (2003).
Additionally, St. Pat’s has won 22 sectional championships, 28 regional championships and 12 ESCC conference titles with Glorioso serving as athletic director.
