The following students have been selected as Saint Patrick High School’s Students of the Month for the month of February: Richie Adame, Kacper Baran, Luke Hillmann, William Martinez, Danny McCarthy, David Mecner, Johnathan Rodriguez and Luis Torres.
Name: Richie Adame
Grade Level: Freshman
Previous School: Freedom Middle School (Berwyn)
Simply put, Richie is a leader and an all-around good kid. As a freshman, he is a varsity athlete and an asset to his team. As a student, he is the epitome of a student who takes responsibility for his own learning and understands that education is truly what the student makes it.

Kacper is not only intelligent but also diligent. He always puts his best efforts into every assignment. He maintained high grades in his Chinese class throughout the years. He is also friendly and willing to help his classmates.
Name: Luke Hillmann
Grade Level: Freshman
Previous School: St. Francis Borgia
Luke is friendly to his peers and is always smiling. He has kind words for everyone, and never fails to say hello in the hallways. Luke also tries his best in all his pursuits, and rises to any challenge he is presented in class.

William has consistently offered to help mentor freshmen students who are learning to become better readers. He has spent three weeks coming to a freshman class during his lunch period to help his fellow Shamrocks learn the ins and outs of Book Club discussion day. He has been a wonderful role model to all.

Danny works endlessly to do well in his classes. He is a respectful student to both his peers and his teachers. His kindness and positive attitude are evident both in the classroom and in the hallways. Danny exemplifies the characteristics of a great Shamrock.

David is a thoughtful member in the art room. In a creative environment, it is important to be an active contributor that respectfully acknowledges the work of others while they build their own body of work. David is that student. With his steady, quiet demeanor, he listens to fellow students as they share their design ideas and plans and jumps in to help if asked. Through all of this, David has constructed a beautiful portfolio of drawings, paintings and photography.

Recently, Jonathan has shown a significant leap in class. He takes responsibility for himself and is quick to offer an explanation to those around him as well. Jonathan rarely has a negative thing to say – a rare quality!Name: Luis Torres

Luis is one of a kind. He is never short on jokes, is a leader in the classroom and in athletics and is constantly thinking of others. He is an asset to the school community and probably has the largest Shamrock beanie collection in the school. St. Pat’s will certainly be losing one of the greats when he graduates!
