Prerequisites: For Grade 9: Freshmen placement exam. For Grade 10: B or better in 515: Honors Algebra II or A+ in 512 Algebra I with teacher recommendation to move up.
This course covers the concepts of Euclidean Geometry in great detail with more emphasis on formal proofs and more difficult applications than the College Prep De la Salle course. Coordinate geometry and basic analytic Geometry will be interspersed throughout the year. Students will also complete a detailed study of Trigonometry in Triangles, including both Right and non-Right Triangles. Written and oral communication of mathematics is emphasized.
