512 Algebra I

In Algebra I, students cover all aspects of working with basic numeric operations, algebraic expressions, equations, linear functions, and inequalities in the first semester. The second semester covers systems of equations, exponents, polynomials and their operations, quadratic equations, and radical expressions. Problem solving is an integral part of Algebra I. Students will be exposed to several features of the TI-84 graphing calculator. Placement is determined through the freshman mathematics placement exam or by completion of 510 Pre-Algebra.
