432 Spanish III

1.0 credit/De La Salle weight

Prerequisites: Successful completion of Spanish II

The third level of Spanish includes a refinement of the basic skills learned in the first two years. Maximum use of the target language and participation in oral proficiency exercises help the students to internalize the vocabulary and grammar studied so far. Writing proficiency is encouraged through formal writing assignments. Readings at this level are longer and deal specifically with the historical, artistic, and cultural development of the Spanish-speaking world. Spanish 3 is an elective course for students who have completed Spanish 1 and Spanish 2.
