The Shamrocks defeated ITW Speer 7-1 on Saturday to win their third Regional Championship in school history and first since finishing 2nd in the state in 2006. Junior Anthony Manaves pitched a complete game with 7.0 IP, 1 ER, 5 H and 14 K.
Saint Patrick will play Ridgewood High School on Wednesday in the Nazareth Academy Sectional at Schaumburg Boomers Stadium. Game time is 5 pm. The winner will play for the Sectional title on Saturday, June 2nd at 9:30 am vs. the winner of the Montini vs. Nazareth Academy game.
