Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. The theme for this year’s National Catholic Schools Week is “Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.” The theme encompasses the core products and values that can be found in Catholic schools across the country. In Catholic schools, we are all learners, servants, and leaders. These shared qualities are what make Catholic schools work. They are what make Catholic schools succeed.
Please see below for some of the activities planned as Saint Patrick High School celebrates Catholic Schools Week.
Monday, January 27 – Students will start to collect toiletries and monetary donations to purchase winter clothing items for homeless veterans as part of the Haerther Scholars service project with Brother Rice, De La Salle, Holy Trinity, Mother McAuley and Trinity High Schools. The six schools participating in the project will gather on Monday, February 3 at Saint Patrick to put together care packages that will be distributed through Rags of Honor. For more information, please read last week’s press release.
Items including travel size: toothbrush, toothpaste, shampoo, deodorant, soap and combs and monetary donations will be collected in Religion Classes. There will also be a box for toiletries in the Counseling Office.
